Hong Kong: Entering a Revolution?

The Chinese government has chosen to take away, per say, the rights of Hong Kong, turning it ever so much towards communist views. Hong Kong used to be part of Great Britain, so they were use to a democracy-like government structure.  So needless to say, when the Chinese government started taking rights away from them, there was some protest. As Katelyn Skornia said durning class discussion, "Major revolutions like The French Revoltuion started from college students protesting and dying in protest". Maybe this is how the students of Hong Kong are trying to change things. It has worked for others, so why not them? As of right now, the protest of been calm, hardly any violence. A Huffington World Post by Matt Sheehan says that "there is no hope" in negotiations. All the Hong Kong people want is there right to chose who can be in elections, and if they themselves can be in elections. The Chinese government continues to say no and the people disagree with that. It is the only this they really know, so. Having it removed from their rights is a bit uncomfortable for them. Could protesting start a revolution? Maybe so, but it would be a good thing for the people of Hong Kong.
